Source. The five awards, their difficulty ratings, their requirements and the link-back rule are from nostalgic.neocities.org/goodies/awards/awards.html, a live peer award program, fetched 1 August 2026. Its cream #fff8eb, mint #b0dbd4, deep teal #345a5e and the 24-stop text-shadow that builds the heading are read out of its style.css. The rubric wording, the 0 to 100 scale with its band descriptions, the integrity disclaimer and the removal rule are from lycos.com/help/top5-help.html and top5-help2.html and top5-help3.html, captures 31 January 1998, with the nomination form from 17 January 1999; the eighteen topics and the _Overall.html path are from pointcom.com, capture 17 October 1997. Cool Site of the Day, its teal #66cccc body, navy #00009c links, its unnamed winner behind a click counter and its keyword block are from cool.infi.net, capture 26 December 1996. All files are in reference/2-discovery/site-awards/.

The award graphics are rehosted from GifCities and are period GIFs from GeoCities pages, not the live program's own five awards, which are that site's identity and are held as reference only. Searched for trophy, cute, palette, smiley and old computer, then matched to the award each one suits. Stored under public/yahew-assets/gifs/awards/.

The six sites are invented and are not real pages or real people. Which award suits which site is this plate's judgment, and the scores are entirely yours. The five award GIFs are held as reference only and are deliberately not shipped: they are that site's own identity, and the plate uses them for proportions rather than as artwork. The badges drawn here are this plate's own, and say so on their face.

Deliberately absent. When Cool Site of the Day started or stopped, when Lycos TOP 5% ended, and how many sites either one ever listed: none of that is in these captures. The claim that awards died because search got good is not sourced here, so it is not made. The live program's page says applications reopen in Summer 2023, which was already stale at capture, so no current status is claimed for it either.
